Home

All of us find comfort in home. It doesn’t matter whether it is small or big, we always long to return to that place where our identity is etched into our soul. Home is where we feel safest, where we can truly be ourselves.

For me, that place is Bacolod City, Philippines. It’s where everything began. It’s where I built the foundation of who I am today, where I learned, grew, and evolved as an aspiring photographer. It’s where I was mentored, where I gained the experiences that shaped my craft.

As we grow older, many of us feel the pull to step beyond our comfort zones. We want to explore new places, experience new things, and discover what the world has to offer. Yet in doing so, we also begin to reflect on who we are, on our purpose in life, and on the memories, both happy and sad, that have shaped us.

Over time, we come to realize that “home” is not just a physical place. Sometimes, it’s the people we shared those moments with, the experiences that made us feel alive, and the memories that continue to ground us no matter where life takes us. As the saying goes, there is no place like home.

This series of images is a tribute to the places and people where I came from.
